Mrs. Nagwa Shoeb

Director General, The Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement


Nagwa Shoeb, currently Director General of the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement and national chair of the International Public Relations Association in Egypt, is a public relations and communications professional with over 20 years’ experience in managing image-building, branding and awareness-raising campaigns. Her professional career has included work in academia, multinational corporations and social development in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the US.

Her volunteer community involvement includes Rotary and Friends of the Opera, and she is a founding and board member of Peace and Plenty, an NGO working towards reaching those segments of society in need of basic services and bridging gaps that may exist due to socioeconomic, educational or religious differences. She has also worked for various formal and informal environmental initiatives. As public awareness and communications manager for the Cairo Air Improvement Project she helped develop and implement a strategy to motivate decision makers to move forward with air pollution reduction measures.

Ms. Shoeb is a member of the board of the Heliopolis Development Association; a founding and board member of the Kheir wa Baraka Association; a member of the Arab International Women’s Forum and the Inner Wheel Association; and has served as chair of the Women in Business Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and co-chair of the International Public Relations Association.
